[REQ] Hide edges under cursor on click

I would like a tool that when you click on edges thew are hidden and another to unhide. Maybe alt+click to unhide.
Should work directly on groups and components without having to open them. And have back face culling to not select edges on the back.
The tool could have a small circle as pointer so that it would catch edges close together. -
Curvizard offers some of these function, not just for hidden, but also for any edge property.

Thanks. I just tried it and it didn't seem to work.
It's also too many steps to make an efficient workflow.
