Upgrade from 8 pro to newer version worth it?

Hello all. It's been a couple of years since I have last visited this forum, I still see it's as interesting as ever.
I'm using SketchUp 8 Pro and wondering if it's worthwhile to upgrade to the latest pro version-is it 15 or 16?
I'm a sole proprietor architect use SU on mostly smaller projects and details.It seems confusing just to determine the cost of upgrading, or is it just me?
