    View off axis when opening files/ can't select anything

      Sorry if this has been reported already.

      About every third time I open any sketchup file, the view comes in looking to the bottom right of the axis origin and in a two-point perspective. When I scroll/zoom soon in and out, the view port is focused on something else besides my model. I also can't get any tools, including the pointer to function. They select from the tool bar, but don't engage any points or bounding boxes or make lines or shapes.

      If I re-open the model it will eventually work, but sometimes I have to open and close it 3 or 4 times before it comes in correct.

      This happens with all my files and not just a single one. Quite annoying..

        figured this out. I have to minimize or close the model window behind the window I just opened. For some reason the viewport is focused on the window behind...
