      Greetings,

I'm familiar how to repeat a component every X inches, for example, using Position X = 0 +COPY*36, but I was wondering if anyone is familiar with how to space the copies across spans that vary in length based on user input.

      My idea was the following:

      1. Allow users to define the LenX of "Span0", "Span1", "Span2", etc. via text box.
      2. Set Span2!X, for example, equal to Span0!LenX + Span1!LenX.
      3. Set CopiedComponent!X equal to Span(COPY)!X, so that the instance of the Span being referred to is defined by the Copy number.

I've been trying it using the formula ="Span"&COPY&"!X, but I'm not getting correct results.

Am I using the correct syntax in the formula? If that won't work is another way to accomplish it?

      Thank you!

        use conditional statements

        for X attribute, =if(copy=1, span1)+ if(copy=2, span1+span2)....
