Thought I'd share a couple of models. On the left is an original design for a rice-paper lamp. On the right, a rice-paper lamp designed in 1947 by the noted sculptor Isamu Noguchi. His lamp is just under 16 inches tall; mine, 20 inches. (I met Noguchi once, in 1969 or 1970, when I interviewed him for my college's alumni magazine; he attended for only a couple of semesters and hated the place, but the college always claimed him as one of its own.)
    Best,

Nice! You should feel tingling in the fingers to render this...

I think that tingling is due to reversed wiring. 😄

            Cotty,
I'd love to render these models, but I have to upgrade Shaderlight first. Or, find a less-expensive rendering program. Any suggestions? (I've tried to install Thea Render but have never been successful; something about it that doesn't like the Mac).

            Dave,
The tingling is kinda enjoyable. But I guess it's not a good idea to do electrical wiring in a rainstorm.
