Let There Be Light

Thought I'd share a couple of models. On the left is an original design for a rice-paper lamp. On the right, a rice-paper lamp designed in 1947 by the noted sculptor Isamu Noguchi. His lamp is just under 16 inches tall; mine, 20 inches. (I met Noguchi once, in 1969 or 1970, when I interviewed him for my college's alumni magazine; he attended for only a couple of semesters and hated the place, but the college always claimed him as one of its own.)

Very nice work, David.

Nice! You should feel tingling in the fingers to render this...

I think that tingling is due to reversed wiring.

Cotty,
I'd love to render these models, but I have to upgrade Shaderlight first. Or, find a less-expensive rendering program. Any suggestions? (I've tried to install Thea Render but have never been successful; something about it that doesn't like the Mac).Dave,
The tingling is kinda enjoyable. But I guess it's not a good idea to do electrical wiring in a rainstorm.Best,
