      Hi, 1st time poster

I am using Sketchup for design of awnings and such for a small business and I am trying to make my life easier. I have figured out how to do a lot already but im having trouble with rotating components.

I have designed a louver that fits onto a rotating model, I have made it all a group and within the main group the part I want to rotate is all a component with groups within it. But when I copy the main group and then try to rotate the component within it (selecting only the component) it only rotates one of them and not all of the copies like when you make any line changes in a component.

if there is a fix for this please help, its had me stumped for a few days now, thanks.

You need to rotate the group within a component rather than a component within a group.

Or you need to rotate the geometry within the component to make them all change.

You edit the inside of a component to effect all instances. Groups should remain unique.

" fits onto a rotating model" Or are you making a dynamic component?

Could you upload an example ?
