Help rendering with shadows using Podium

Hi,
I was hoping someone would be able to give me some advise with my rendering.I am working on Sketchup 8 on Windows, and rendering my model which has various LEMs and textures. When I render scenes using Podium without shadows, there is no problem. However, when I then turn on shadows, it initially loads up but then freezes on "Global Computing (camera tracing)". Podium then stops working and I have to close it down.
Any help on how I can overcome this would be really appreciated!
