New Member Intro + profiles

Hi guys, my name is sketchutect. I am a hobbyist from texas using sketchup 2014 on a windows 7 platform.
I am new to the forum and have never seen a forum quite like this (integrated in such a way that you cant tell where the website ends and the forum begins, not a typical forum theme so to speak)
i was hoping someone can tell me how to access user profiles so i can browse the member info of people who post excellent information.
Also, at what point do free, newbie accounts gain the privilege to private message? is that for paid members only?

Move the mouse over the (i) or click on the user name. In the near of the bottom of every page you can open a member list too.

No, there is no difference for free and paid accounts here. (I don't remember if this function is restricted for the first few posts)
