Wavy Tape Measure Lines
-
Sometimes I'll be working on a set of plans and all of a sudden tape measure lines no longer stay true when I zoom in and out. They become wavy by as much as an inch or so, wiggling back and forth as I zoom. Makes it almost impossible draw true lines with any precision.
Anyone else seeing this, or if it's been discussed before, can you refer me to the thread?
Thanks,
G

What kind of computer do you have, what kind of video card. what are your graphic settings for SU?
-
I have a MacBook Pro ~ 2010 running OS X 10.8.3. No idea what the video card is and know idea how to access "graphic settings" for SU.
-
Goggin, the path to find video card info on mac should be - launch pad > other > systems info > graphics/displays for SU settings, open SU click on sketch up in toolbar, path is - preferences > open GL , you'll see 3 settings ,
use hardware acceleration, use max texture size, use fast feedback. try different combo's on or off. see if problem clears up. you have to close SU and reopen for changes to be active. FWIW on on my macbook pro & iMac I have hardware accel. and fast feedback selected and no problems. -
Hi Goggin, hi folks.
Make sure that your lines are not too far from the axes origin.
Just ideas.
