Technics Turntable

Well this certainly seems to have caused a stir. I'm not going to explain my comment again, I've already done that. How could I possibly upset mitcorb when his post followed mine. If my comments are so offensive to people then this will be my last.
take care,

Hi, tadema- John:
Please continue posting your excellent work. I was simply responding because I thought something I mentioned was taken the wrong way. -
John,
It would be a loss to the Sketchucation community if you were to stop posting. I admire your work. We had a difference of opinion, we both expressed our views, and people will make of that what they will. That's what's makes our country so great, we can express our opinions freely (at least so far).
This type of thing rarely happens here on these forums, and maybe I'll be ostracized for stirring up trouble, but it's a subject I feel strongly about and I want these forums to be of maximum benefit to all of us.
If it comes down to one of us no longer posting here, it should probably be me. I'm a relative noobie here and I know I don't always express myself very well.
How about we digitally shake hands, put this behind us and move on.

Hello everyone,
Rick, once again I apologise for your thread being hijacked, I would never have posted if I knew this would happen. On a brighter side, look at all the views your turntable has receivedmitcord, my post was never intended at anyone personally, especially you. It was a sweeping statement as was solo's posted just after mine "tough crowd....". Pete was a lot more diplomatic!. Please don't take anything personal, it was never meant that way.
hellnbak, I don't see anything you should feel you could be "ostracized" for. This has never been heated or abusive in any way, as you say personal opinion. Each member is entitled to his, no matter if it's post no.2 or 2000.
I sat on the sidelines here for two years before I posted my first render, exactly a year today!. In that time I've received many PM's/Emails asking for help or advice, doing my best to help everyone of them but... when I've asked why not post on the forum? almost every answer was "I'm not posting on the forum to be ridiculed".My whole point is, yes people will criticise and it's expected, but offer a solution also if possible.
Ok that's tuppence worth.
I've absolute no hard feelings towards any member here.take care

Hi all,
I really like that render !
I also own 2 of these (excellent) turntables.
After a complete Sketchup rework, I rendered that model in 2009 using Kerkythea.
http://www.kerkythea.net/phpBB2/files/1200mk2_mlt_155passes_small_537.jpgConcerning the render we're talking about there is one little error :
the tonearm can't be in down position (needle touching the record) because the up/down lever command is up.Very good work anyway !

Hello mate! How can I download this model? Can't find the link anywhere. Thanks.

I would take that one:
3D Warehouse
3D Warehouse is a website of searchable, pre-made 3D models that works seamlessly with SketchUp.
(3dwarehouse.sketchup.com)
it renders pretty good.

Hi all - yes it's been a while that this post was started.
Since all the render results shown here are so fantastic, I had downloaded the turntable model for my own testing and playing. Finally I have also started a test render now and I´m linking this little experiment with my first testing of Twilight Render - I do not know what I'm doing exactly, but the result is encouraging me!
I didn´t find any suitable texture for a vinyl LP, so I made the LP - please do not laugh at me - as a model and I will post this LP-model (the Beatles Blue Album!) in the 3D-Warehouse - maybe someone can use it ...3D Warehouse
