Now that I have my sections working in scene tabs, and looking great in viewports on pages in Layout, I'd like to show a view indicating the sections and the page each can be found on with a callout balloon. That's obviously what the section icon illustrates in the Sketchup toolbar but there seems to be no equivalent tool in Layout. Surely there's a way?

There is not... I have a symbols scrap book around here somewhere. and there could be a section symbol tool if TIG wanted to convert his interior elevation symbol plugin.

          That's amazing Kristoff!
So how do you deal with it?
I have seen these symbols in glimpses of others work on Youtube etc. I could imagine making some kind of component in Sketchup for a work-around or drawing them with the tools in Layout. What a hassle to have to fill each one in though. There must be thousands of drafties and architects doing this around the world! Imagine the scrambled versioning. This really needs automation.

I make section cutfaces, Tig's plugin I believe.... I use them in a few ways.

            1. I use them to block the view of the empty cavities of the structure in various views.
            2. I use them for Skalp and other SU hatch plugins.
            3. I use them via copy/paste into Layout to convert them into hatches.
            4. I leave them visible in elevations and floor plans so as to use them as references for section marks.

Here's my architectural symbols scrapbook for layout. It has a large section symbol.

Here is Tig's Interior Elevation Symbol and View plugin. Perhaps we might be able to convince him to create a similar section symbol plugin.
