          Thankee gentlemen.

FWIW, I used the same line style for the drawing and the frame. The two different line weights in the drawing were created using different export sizes.

It's looking good! Are those connectors wooden too?

That's not a Shed Roof... That's the roof of a shed. Trickster.

JQL, thank you. "Connectors?" I assume you mean the gusset plates joining the parts of the trusses together. Yes. Those are 1/4-in.-thick plywood from scraps I had on hand. They were glued and nailed in place. All but the end trusses have them on both sides. The sheathing on the outside of the walls does the job of the gussets on the outside ones.

Kris, it's my version of a shed roof. πŸ˜„

Gusset plates... I don't even know their name in Portuguese...

Commercially made trusses in this country would typically be joined with nail plates like this:

                    http://www.hobbithouseinc.com/personal/woodpics/images/nailplate.jpg

Those are difficult to drive by hand with a hammer, though. I expect most framers would turn their noses up at my work but that roof and the whole shed is more than strong enough for what it is. It's certainly not built like the first or second little pig's house. πŸ˜„

I like yours. Those metal ones are really bad looking...

Do they do that in order not to cut joints on the wood?

I don't believe that plate in the first image would even be needed in a typical truss if it's the middle joint...

Thanks. I like mine better, too.

There's no proper joinery done in truss building in the US. The ends are cut to fit together but it's no like a timber framed structure where they use mortise and tenon joinery. If it weren't for those nail plates a truss would just be a pile of sticks.

Agreed! The extension ladder and lawn mower almost look real. And I like how you added that flare at the lower left corner of that first image. What render settings do you use for that? πŸ˜†

Can you believe this thing stands up? I think the paint on the siding boards is the only thing holding it up.
