Large DWG import

Hi,

I have several large DWGs that i need to import into sketch up and cant shrink the size any more. The biggest is 173,232KB and it gets to 99% and then hangs indefinately (I have left overnight)

Is there any way to import large files over 15mb?

Have you tried to split your DWG to few smaller drawings and import them one after another to SU with 'Preserve drawing origin' ticked?
File -> Import -> Options
