Vray material for a wooden beam (help?)
-
Hi guys,
I made a high poly model of a wooden beam with a rope around it.
I want to make a close-up of it with vray.Download:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8zJtNz88Nk9VU84SEwxbTZvbVk/view?usp=sharingThe problem is that I can't make the textures (positioning and adjusting the material for vray).
The wood has to have a vintage look, with a luxurious feel. Maybe Oak or Teak wood-like.
The texture I used is not the texture I want by the way, consider it work in progress.Maybe someone could help me? I'm not an expert at this.
Would be awesome!Regards,
Frank

Wow, 259MB!!!
While I admire your incredible attention to detail, you might consider figuring out how to make do with using a component for the rope vs groups. After all, unless the rope is glued to the beam, would it really follow every contour of the beam? This is not meant as a criticism, your modeling skills are impressive to say the least, just a suggestion.
