Solid tools and co-planar edges
-
I'm not sure of how aware people are of this occurring since it only really affects higher poly models, but whenever i use the solid tools it removes all co-planar/semi co-planar edges. This is extremely annoying especially when using artisan tool, I've done some experimenting on my own and it turns out a lot of the co-planar edges the solid tools remove, those co-planar edges aren't actually co-planar, juts very very very very close to co-planar (sometimes i scale up a flat surface perpendicular to it's face up to 100,000 times before seeing how the surface really isn't co-planar). My complaint is that it seems like an unnecessary step that the tool takes, since it's just a glorified intersection tool (to my knowledge at least).
If my explanation doesn't make sense then i can upload a few files to illustrate it, my main question is whether or not this is a necessary evil for the tool to work this way.

Workaround:
- Thomthoms selection tools -> select only edges -> make a group (for both solids)
- move outside the solids
- Solid tools
- move edge groups back in place -> explode

Haven't thought of that, thank you very much good sir!
