Trim multiple objects against one object in one click

Hi, I would really appriceate a development of the boolean trim function so that you first click on cutting object and then can select several objects to trim at the same time and still keep them as separate groups/components after the trim. Absolute best would be if selecting the objects to be trimmed worked in a similar fashon as the ereaser, so you just click and erease the edges you want to trim away. Currently you have to click on one group/component at a time. This results in very much clicking which is very time consuming if you have hundreds of objects to trim in, for instance, a facade.
Seems like an easy thing to fix / make a plugin for!

This was my favorite for years and I am still using it too, but VisuHole don't need solids which is a great advantage... see this example screencast:
