      Hi

      I looked at some other answers from this site that came up on my google search for this issue but none really seemed helpful. When I make two cubes and turn them into groups they subtract from each other fine. If I make two cubes and then draw some diagonal lines joining the opposite corners of a face and deform them slightly it decides that they aren't solids anymore. I have no idea why because I haven't deformed them in a particularly weird way. I have just made them be forms made of a few more polygons than a cube.

      I have attached the file. It just contains two simple forms intersecting like this:

        If you look inside you will see they have internal faces which makes them not solid.
