Maxwell Sea?
-
Hi everyone!
Sorry for posting a rendering question in this part of the forum - but its to do with Maxwell... not VRAY or Thea.
Can anyone tell me whether the Maxwell Sea function is meant to work in Sketchup (i.e. when I render a static image) or instead will it only work when used in conjunction with Realflow? I am using SU2014 (make) and Maxwell v3 (purchased, not free).
Many thanks for any advice
sorry if its a simple question/answer, but im fairly new to rendering!Chris

Yes, you can use this feature with RealFlow -- The relevant support information can be found here:

Hi Jason, thank you for the reply - but I am still unclear...
Will it work in just SU as a still render using Maxwell, or is the ONLY way it will work to use RealFlow?
Many thanks and kind regards

With or without -- however it should be obvious that without Realflow some of the things that could make a more realistic sea (like foam maps and sea spray) will not be possible. Maxwell sea simply does the waves as you can see clearly in the documentation I linked.

You're right - it is "obvious", however I am happy with this; thank you for your help.
kind regards
Chris
