Layout linking in skp?
-
Is there a way to 'know' when active model is linked to a layout file from ruby?
I want to add an icon to a Layout file when working on the linked skp.
I can do it by browsing to the .layout but would wondered if there is another way...

Bump: now the holidays are over, someone must know...
to ask different, are models tagged when you send them to layout?

I don't think there's an API way...
You can link a SKP that is not open, into a Layout, so how would it know it was linked ? -
cheers tig,
I couldn't find one, but thought I was missing something...
the best way I found so far is to
open the .layout enclosed .skp
set up the view you want in the .skp file
use that as an icon for the .layout
close without saving the .skp...It doesn't appear to break anything...
any potential it might?
