Scale a schape after follow me tool

Hi everyone,
I am a begineer in Sketchup and I used the follow me tool to extrude a cylinder from an initial circle along a curved line. I build a small of network of extruded cylinder this way. Now I would like to scale the initial shape which is a circle for all the extruded section, because it has not the good ratio. The only thing I can achieve so far is to scale the shape, re-use the follow-up tool but this time, it does not follow the initial curved line, rather it extrudes only along a straight line.
How to re-use the follow up tool along the same curved line, after scaling the initial shape?
