3D warehouse connection problems

For some reason 3dwarehouse is never available when I attempt to go there. It times out before I get results. Occasionally I actually see the models but when I try to download one it times out again. Could it be a Windows 8 problem, Chrome or the site. Anyone else having problems or is it just on my end? Help.
I can access plugins, claim credit for my drawings just can't get the models to download.
