Plugin for custom library

Hi fellows.
Is there any plugin/method of making a custom library of models (i.e. NOT NECESSARILY a component)? Or even better, is there a way to assemble a custom, local collection of collections of any relevant resource(s): Components, Models, Colours, Materials, all into one customisable interface/panel? Thanks in advance.
