Can't use grass in Maxwell Render!?

Hi!
I'm using Sketchup Make 2014 and I'm testing the free Maxwell Render. But I don't get the Grass or the Sea options to work! I only get a empty box with "no selection"! I have tried to create a group and select it, but nothing happens! What am I doing wrong?

Maxwell Sea needs a grouped volume to work. Grass should work on grouped planes.

OK, now I can change the settings for the grass, but I don't get any grass when I render the scene!? Hmmm, I still have some problems and I preciate some more help.
