NVIDIA OpenGL driver detected a problem with the display
-
Hi guys ,
I recently installed a SSD and I installed Win 7 64 on it. I have installed all the drivers and software I needed, including Nvidia card driver and Sketchup.
Thing is when I leave Sketchup opened and I put the computer at sleep, when I wake it up this error appears. This also happens with Keyshot and Photoshop and perhaps with every program that uses OpenGL.Do you have any idea what could be wrong ? I have the exact drivers I have had with the previous install.
Thanks !
Most likely it is not a Sketchup bug but I don't know where to place it. Feel free to move it where it might belong.

. I encounterd the very same thing! see my post of yesterday. http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11%26amp;t=58364
Are you using su14 as well? -
Yes, I am using version 2014, but it works just fine except when I am returning the PC from "Sleep" . I had no problem with the previous Windows install.

I had this problem for weeks. The graphics card driver was up to date. On the Internet I found no solution. One day the problem disappeared by itself. I guess that somehow it is related with the windows updates or the Nvidia drivers.

I see the error is the same except the scenarios are different.
What I can now tell is that I haven't uninstalled the old Windows, as I wanted to see the differences and I was a bit reserved about this ssd(second hand bought). So I accessed the old Windows and guess what? No error when I wake it up from sleep and also the time for waking up is shorter, way shorter- it wakes up almost instantly.
On the old Windows , I didn't had all the updates installed, but the Nvidia driver was up to date. I assume there is a problem with the Windows updates..
It wouldn't be such a big problem, but I have the habit of putting the computer at sleep for at least two, three times a day, letting all the programs opened.Unsuspected are the ways of IT !
Edit 1
I have found that on the old Windows, OpenGL is version 1 and on the new one is 3.3 . Where does the OpenGL versions comes from ? I'll have to search for the patch that updates the OpenGl version.
Edit 2
They are now both versions 3.3, but there is something different, they are different... and I have same stuff installed on both versions. The one that is from july is the one that works fine...
