I'm working in LayOut to assemble drawings from an SKP model that has specific attribute data (for example, quantities of specific components that could be used to create a bill of materials). Does anyone know if there's a way to create Custom Auto-Text objects that can pull/display data from within the associated SKP model?

I know I can create an Auto-Text object in LayOut and populate its value manually, but I'd like to associate a variable name with my Auto-Text object instead which could then read the value from the SKP model automatically.

Any ideas or possible solutions out there?

    Thanks,
    Andrew

      Hi Andrew-

In 2014, there's no way to pull data out of the Skp Model using Auto-Text, but it's high on our list for future versions.

      thanks,
      Marc
