Georeferenced model top ortho

I'm using Sketchup 2014 pro and I've run into the issue that georeferencing my model sets the "top" ortho north to the georeferenced noth (not the axis north). This really becomes an issue because of exporting things to layout. Most of my models aren't oriented towards north, but I need the georeferencing to get the relation to nearby buildings.
I played around with the "Solar North" extension, but setting north the same direction as the axes doesn't actually change north. Is there anyway to both keep georeferencing as well as setting the "top" ortho view to orient along the axes directions?
