Thanks for the helps up, already had TT extrude tools but never used the extrude edges by rails before.

Just a heads up, I had to 'weld' the imported profiles as the TT extrude wouldn't recognise them as curved before that.

A little fat at the middle but it will do!

That boat building process is amazing, god only knows how many hours he dedicated to that!!!

        Cheers

You can get a much more accurate finish if you use the ribs to skin it, but If you are happy with the results for what you need then all is well.

Yeah I thought about that but since I haven't got the ribs drawn and don't fancy spending the time to draw them I just used what I have ๐Ÿ˜„

                Doesn't take much work.
One rib profile arrayed and scaled to fit, then curviloft to skin.

                  Oh that looks much better!
I've got curviloft too but didn't know I could skin that well with it!

Cheers, I'll give it another go when sketch up finishes its long intersect job...

Extrude tools are from TIG and not TT.

Ah ok easily confused with the amount of developers/plugins!

I did it with the loft by spline to skin the ribs in the end, worked out really well!

That's the one, so it should look something like this.

Edit: Images look very nice. Well done.

I reckon a Banks Dory would by a nice one to model.

There are lots of tutorial around for modelling boats. You have all the profiles you need in your drawings. You can lay out the rib and skin it all or even as I have done below, just taken the three main profiles and used Tig's Extrude Edges by rails to produce a simple hull.
Basically, Beziers curves, curviloft and extrusion tools should be more than enough to get a nice finish.

Can you please help me to draw this fishing boat?

                                Hi Guys,

m trying to create a hull from my imagination, means not from given contours.
Boat contour plans are actually a projection to the standard orthogonal planes,
, these are sections through the hull, which would not be applicable for this intuitive process.
I have a certain spatial curve in the mind, which Iยดd like to draw in SU.

So I created contour lines f.e. as a bezier curve.
But, the curves are always related to a plane. It is anyway difficult to intuitively draw a spatial curve.
Now m looking for a way how to create a spatial contour from two related planar contours.

I guess it sounds a bit confusing. Does anybody have a solution for this ?

                                Thanks for responding !
