Texture in layout
-
Im facing issues with textures when using scenes viewport in layout. The scene is setup in sketchup with styles (texture on) and shadows. when i set the scene in layout, the textures are not visible. Its really frustrating and i need to make presentation documents asap. im attaching the screenshots of sketchup scene and how it turns up in layout under vector, raster and hybrid.
Help would much appreciated! Thank you!Sketchup has hardware acceleration and use max texture size ticked on under OpenGL
Win7
4GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics
NVIDIA GForce GT 525M

I'm no expert with SU > LO, but I think you have to save your "style" in the model for it to transfer over! Cant hurt to try it!

Richard's right.
This could be caused by a Styles issue. However there are many more possibilities and there's no way to tell without taking a deeper look at the model.

Looks like you're rendering it in pure Vector mode, to see textures you need to select "Raster" or "Hybrid"

The last image is an Hybrid mode render and seems to be correct. I can't understand if all viewports were taken at the same time, by just changing render modes...

yeah, also noticed that the file's a recovered one, so there might be some "oddness" to it. I've had a couple of files where I've built things up from imported .dwg polylines and they haven't behaved at all as they would have if I'd started form scratch in Sketchup

I'm pretty sure your problem might be related to hardware acceleration. Your nvidia Card is not working with Layout. The one wich is working with layout is the integrated card instead.
To correct this do the following:
1 - On your PC Desktop click in right-mouse button > nvidia control panel
2 - Find "Manage 3D definitions" on left panel
3 - Click on "Application definitions" tab on the right
4 - Find Layout on the list of applications. (you might have to add it to the list by searching for it in Windows > Programs X86)
5 - Associate it with nvidia card instead of integrated card.I hope this images help a bit more though they are in portuguese:

I just updated my nvidia graphics and it works like a charm! Thank you all for your replies
