Easier way to make something like this?

Hi all,

My names Brendan and I'm new here. Happy holidays.

So I'm currently learning Sketch Up and have a question about creating a repeating structural element across a.... I'm not sure what to term it, perhaps parabolic grid?
See the attached for an example.
As you can see the repeating structural element changes its height and angle along the length of the form while remaining the same depth and thickness.
I made this geometry manually but surely there is an easier way to do this relatively simple thing. I was hoping the lattice function on the Extrusion plugin would work for some of it but it only seems to work on curves.

Am I missing something completely obvious here?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I don't have time to make it work on your model but you are thinking the right way, Tig's lattice function will probably do what you want. The Curves problem is easily overcome, Tig's tools usually don't work on single segment lines so if you have a straight line divide it then weld it and it is seen as a curve. Or right click and convert to polyline if you have bezier tools.

Another option would be Tig's Slicer5, you make the solid shape and chop it into the sections you want.
Or an array of components and adjust them with Fredoscale

Box, those ideas worked like a charm. Hadn't realised I could convert lines into poly-lines.
Gilles, that plugin is epic thank you very much, and ill remember to save out in sk8 for next time!
