I have been able to locate the Layout 2013 file stored on my hard drive but there is scrapbooks folder with nothing in it. Even after I checked the box to Show All Hidden Files and Folders.
I checked both locations listed in the preferences in Layout.

Next, if I try to edit one of the standard scrapbook pallets. I get a strange message as soon as I click the edit button. See Attachment.

I tried re-downloading Sketchup 2013 and repairing but to no avail.

As an experiment I can edit SU8 scrapbooks no problem. But same problem I can't seem to find where the default scrapbooks folders are stored

In both LO 3 and LO 2013 you can see (and change if needed) the locations if you click Edit > Preferences... and then check under Folders...

        Default for LO 3 is:
        C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Google\Google SketchUp 8\LayOut\Scrapbooks

Only slightly different for LO 2013:
        C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2013\LayOut\Scrapbooks

        Cheers
        Kim Frederik

I have the same issues with LO 2015 (and 2013 /2014). Located the folders, nothing in there. I'm on a Mac running Yosemite if that makes any difference.
