MANAGING MANY PLUGINS: Plugin Menu dropdown show 2 Columns ?
-
Hi Guys/ Ruby gurus !!
I'd really deeply appreciate help here please.
I have a tad too many plugins installed (and want to keep it that way as I model extempore and require any/many of them while modeling/ texturing).
Now the Plugin dropdown list has become inordinately long and most of the time I have to be clicking on the triangular "more below"/ "more above" buttons to scroll beyond the top/ bottom of screen to get to the plugin of desire, causing much frustration. (Please do refer the attached screen snip).
Could anyone please point out to a resource/ extension/ plugin that could help me get two (rather than a single) columns of the installed plugins so I could see em at a glance and go to the one desired, rather than having to click-scroll through the triangular buttons.... (a real pain!!)
Or. could there be a way I could manage the plugins by combining them with other plugin menu items inside the dropdown? I have optimized a good workspace and am happy with the toolbars (though quite cluttered, but am very productive with them). Some plugins aren't available with the toolbar option and are only available through the Plugin dropdown menu only.
Many many thanks in advance.

I don't know of a plugin that would make the Plugins menu two columns wide. That would be interesting but I'm not sure it could be accessed via Ruby anyway. You could edit some of the plugins to make them appear in other menus. Typically the menu in which the plugin will appear is show at the end of the .rb file and you could edit it in Notepad with no trouble.
Perhaps a better way would be to use the Sketchucation Plugin Store to manage your plugins. Surely there are some plugins you rarely use. Those could be set so they don't load normally and you can load them just when you want them. You could even create sets of plugins to load or not load as the need arises.
