Spiral Path in Mound...

Hey guys,
Have been trying to create a spiraled path up a simple eliptical mound (originally drawn in cad)
i can create the mound using from contours (top and bottom ellipse)... the only thing i can do aftewards is drape it....i think im looking for a hybrid between a drape and a stamp (the path needs to conform to the mound but keep itself straight and level)
Any thoughts on the best way to approach this?

I think that if you select the outer edges and pull them up you will have a straight and leveled path. Try this and see what happens.
Or after you get just one line intersected with the cone you could use Follow me and keep plugin to create the path. -
