Any smokers here? Wanna quit?

What I find interesting Oli is that they have defined smoke to widely and somewhat ambiguously include vaping without mentioning vaping.
When read in conjunction with the interpretation of tobacco product it could be construed as including vaping.
If I am in a bar or cafe I generally ask if it is ok to use the vape, and, so far, they have all given it the thumbs up.....except that last Sunday we went to a Pub for lunch and we were dining outside. I pulled out the vape after we had eaten and was very politely asked by a Waitress to cease. Perhaps I should have asked first.
I explained that I was vaping, not smoking. Nevertheless, I obliged her request.
This prompted me to have a look at the legislation and I was surprised by the controls contained in the legislation by using the instrument of 'interpretation' they have assigned to 'smoke' and 'tobacco products'. And here is the problem....governments can use whatever wording they like to set out their intentions for interpretation.
Whilst we all agree that smoking and vaping are two entirely different things, the government, by their definitions, seem to have deliberately set out to include vaping, without even mentioning the words 'vape', 'vaping', 'electronic cigarette' etc.

Second hand vape?

It's harmless. Rather, there is no evidence to prove it is harmful.
Or are you looking to buy a second-hand vape?

Great news! Thanks for that Pete. You can also reduce any possibility of contaminants by using pharmaceutical grade ingredients for DIY e-liquid.
I know it's harmless because I feel 100% better since I started vaping! And I know you guys do too. Not exactly scientific but, hey, that's how I feel.

I have corroborating evidence that proves the flawless logic of your theory, I feel 1000% better with every nose full of cocaine.

or, Man leans over to woman and whispers, "Can I smell your Pussy?" Woman replies indignantly "No of course you can't. "Oh" says the man, "It must be your feet!"

Scenario :
Lady : "Excuse me sir, I find the smell of apple and cinnamon coming from your vape to be offensive and I'd like you to stop vaping it while I am dining with my friends and family in this Cafe"
Me : "I find the smell of your perfume offensive, how about you go home and take a shower.....by the way, your feet smell too. And how about that cheese platter those people are eating on the table behind you ?....I overheard you comment that it smelled disgusting. Are you going to complain to them"
......or, an alternative response :
Me : "Certainly lady, I'll cease vaping my apple and cinnamon. Fortunately, I have 8 other flavours to choose from. I have Blueberries and Cream, Caramel Apple, Pineapple and Mango, Honey Fig, Strawberry, Cuppochino, Red Bull, and Banana Pudding. Would you like to choose one for me ?"

Hello, how's vaping, guys?
I think I just have the silliest gig in this thread. Just look at the images. -
I wouldn't say that's silly! Looks like it does the job!
Vaping is still going well for me. Smoking a cigarette doesn't even cross my mind, I know I'll never touch one again.
A member of the cloud9vaping forum sent me a free sample of his "Zombie Juice". It's cinammon redhots based but has a secret recipe with some other ingredients. It's the same guy I learnt my DIY liquid recipes from. The liquid arrived in a sealed glass bottle and was so much more than I expected.
I tell you what, it has a big kick!! It's got the gorgeous cinnamon flavour but has a menthol-type feeling on the exhale. It's a real winter warmer. The secret flavour also gives the liquid a bigger throat hit yet you still get thick clouds of vapour.
It's like a PG throat hit but with VG clouds of vapour, if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm really enjoying it, I just hope that we can buy the liquid because it really is quite special. Imagine vaping an espresso coffee...it's like that; a strong hit of flavour that gives you a good kick in the balls! Definitely puts hairs on your chest!
-
Stefan,
It looks awesome
In fact it looks like something you'd see on the launch pad at Houston....!!
-
Oli,
Sounds like a nice liquid you've got there.
I like cinnamon vapes too.....I have one called 'Dutch Apple Crumb' from the Plume Room and it is simply divine....!!
-
Yeah it's nice but unfortunately not for sale. I still enjoy my cinnamon redhots though, it's just a bit less "pokey".
I'm getting bored of the juicy fruit flavour I normally vape.
I'm gonna get some more flavour concentrates to make my own tropical flavour. I want that generic tropical drink flavour so I'm ordering: Blueberry, Blackberry, Cantaloupe Melon, Mango, Passion Fruit and Peach.
I'm just gonna throw all the flavour concentrates into one bottle and them mix this concoction with my PG/VG/nicotine mix.
My thought is that having several mixed up flavours won't bore me, nor will my tastebuds get used to it. I've noticed that if I stick to Juicy Fruit I just can't taste it after a couple of days.
-
I have found two Melon liquids that I like :
-
'Spurberry' (Mount Baker Vapor)....a delicious Honeydew Melon flavour
-
'Melon Medley' (Plume Room)....mixed melon flavours, nice but a bit too candied for my liking, although it might need to steep for another week or two.
The Plume Room is consistently hitting the right spot for me and is fast becoming my favourite supplier and I don't mind paying a bit more for my eLiquids and also express international postage from the USA to Australia.
Maybe in the new year I'll experiment with mixing my own flavours......so, let me know if you hit a few winners with your own concoctions....!!

The Chi-You is looking good there Stefan.
I am settled for Christmas: the Svaemesto Kayfun 3.1 on top of the Kato Astro mod.
(Shhhhhht...both are clones).
I can totally live with that .
The Kayfun indeed is a very consistent vape. It feels like a Protank on steroids without the hickups.
I do burn my tongue at times as it is a darn hot vape.
The Kayfun is a good portable solution , it can be horizontal and won't leak.I still adore using a dripper (Trident), more clouds and a misty cold vape, yummy. However not good out and about, needs to be upright at all times !
The Christmas setup:
-
@Gareth,
Great to hear you're finding your sweet spot.
The Plume Room is indeed wonderful.I recently have found another great e-juice company : http://www.goodlifevapor.com
Great flavours and price wise just a little step up from Mt Baker Vapor.
So far I enjoy the Melon Boba and Nana's Nuts.
They provide the option to add a little mint to each juice. Very nice touch.
Shipping is quite fast, I believe just over 2 weeks to Perth, which is fast for being in the most remote big city of the world -
Nice setup!!
The "Kayfun" works best between 6 and 8 watts. I find 7 to 7.5 is the sweet spot. You may be getting hot vapour because you are simply using a voltage/wattage that is too high. This is the mistake I made at first....I wanted an immediate cloud of vapour which simply is not possible in a larger tank. You need to draw for longer rather than a short hard hit. This will easily reduce it from hot to nice and warm.
I vape at 4.1 volts for a fresh coil and build up to 4.6 volts towards the end of its life. 4.7 would be the absolute max. My coil is 2.5 ohms which rises to 2.7 over 2-3 weeks.
I also vape a 50/50 PG/VG mix. This helps getting better vapour production in the Kayfun, you simply don't need to draw back as long, keeping the vapour warm and never hot. I found higher PG mixtures do tingle the tip of your tongue a little bit, so the maximum ratio I would use in a Kayfun is 60/40 PG/VG.
Hope this helps, the Kayfun can be a beast to tame but when you do you will never vape anything else!
It should also never leak. Even if you hold it upside down you should not get any leaking whatsoever, if you do, check all the O rings are in place and everything is screwed tightly.
Here is the kayfun 3.1 user manual, it covers every problem you could possibly face....just ignore the bit about filling it up because it only applies to the 3.1 ES which has a valve on the side.
