3ds Max Importing

Hey guys! Do you know any easy way to import files from 3ds Max to Sketchup? I have a huge library of 3ds Max models (.max format) and I wish I could use them in SU. I've tried a dozen ways, but I got no good results. Exporting in 3ds Max as .3ds, .dae, .obj... In Sketchup, importing normally or using plug-ins... Nothing. One gives me an error or import failure, the other gives me some bug splats... I don't know what to do! Any solution, please?
