3D Components that render in LO
-
Does anyone have a good resource for SU 3D components that render well in LO (IE: tubs, toilets, sinks, etc.)? I find that there are many 3D components that look great (in 3D) but do not render well in LO.
For example, a toilet that looks good in 3D may not show up well in a wall elevation (for construction drawing because it has so many curves. Same issue with tubs, sink, etc.
Any ideas?

CWM, I know what you mean. I run into this once in awhile with things like knobs and other rounded parts. Unfortunately what TECHDAVE suggests is not a good solution when it comes to LayOut because using a style setting in SU affects the whole scene. I have a couple of different solutions that I've used. They both work well for me. I'll make up some examples for you.

play around with the setting in the styled window make sure to make a new style. edges dialog and the hidden geometry

Dave R what about overlay one scene over the other one with the toilet only with no background with its own setting and the other as the background with its own settings?

That would be one way to do it and it would work pretty well. There's a way I think is better, though.
