Projecting a street on a mesh
-
hi everybody,
whith normal skp-functions i canproject a horizontal street o the mesh surface, then the street has the same slope as the mesh on its surface (unrealistic)
or
cut the street in the mesh, where then the street surface stays horizontal and does not followthe mesh surface.
question:
how can i project a street to a mesh, where the street is ,cut, into the mesh with same depth along the street and the slope of the street is realistic? (length-slope = mesh, cross-slope nearly zero) ?
thanx for any tipsstan

And the Sandbox tools with Drape and Stamp would not be useful here?

You might look into Simuterra. I'm not sure if Erez is still actively developing or not, but I believe it was working pretty well.
http://www.compuneering.com/simuterra.phpOr Chuck Vali might also have a good solution:

Instant Road is awesome.

Have a look at this thread http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=393786#p393786 and download the file in that post for an example.
Best of luck- Mick
