Challenge for any "gizmo-oriented" Plugin Guru

The plugin Combin editor 0.08 by wikii and an icon by blajnov were created back in 2010.
This tool (especially with the icon) is so useful it should be a part of SU.I realize that the ruby is an rbs and, therefore, cannot be directly modified.
BUT
Would any "gizmo-oriented" plugin guru be interested in creating/re-creating this plugin so that the units for movement would be dictated by the drawing default?I truly believe that all SU users would greatly benefit.

Such gizmo is a whole lot of work. Would be much easier to use existing.

wikii's combin gizmo has to be my favorite of any 3d modeling program - it's very clever - too bad no imperial
