I am looking for a plugin or method for selecting multiple ungrouped entities (eg. with the same geometry). I have some metal platework with many holes. On revision, I wish to change the hole centres and hole sizes. Normal practice (for me) would be to close the circles, front and back, and erase the lines to enable me to redraw the holes. The redrawing is easy, but the circle face closing and erasing is tedious work. Any suggestions?

So you want to convert this "metal plate" back to unperforated? You don't need a plugin for that. Just drag a selection box around the holes without selecting the edges of the plate and hit Delete. Then you'll be back to a fresh plate.
