Often Got Bugsplat When Using Basic Editing & Solid Tools
-
Hello
I often got bugsplat when using basic editing tools (moving, rotating, pulling/pushing, etc) or when using solid tools. Any idea what caused this? Is this plugins related problem?
I use SU for modelling simple buildings with medium details.
My specs:
Sketchup 2013 pro
Windows 8 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i3 M380
RAM: 2GB
VGA: GeForce 310MPlugins:
LaunchUp
1001bit ver2
ToolbarEditor
Building Structure
Fredo6's
Thomthom's
Tig's
Doortools
LSS Toolbar
ArtisanThanks in advance

Hi Blackquod. Are you submitting the bugsplats when this happens? If so, can you PM me your email address or username that you are inputting when it splats? I can try to look up and see if this is a known bug or not.
You can also try uninstalling (temporarily) all your plugins and see if that makes a difference or not. Thanks,
Chris

Hi, Chris yup I submitted the bugsplat with the name blackquod.
I followed your suggestion and I uninstalled all the plugins, and got no bugsplat after that. What do I do now?
Thanks in advance -
It definitely appears to be related to a certain plugin, and my guess is that it will be one that uses observers.
Could you try putting them back little by little until you determine which is causing the problems? Try putting in all of Thom's, TIG's and Fredo's first, and see if that brings it up. Those have typically been stable, so I would guess they will not do it. But the other ones I'm familiar with on the list are also typically pretty stable from what I know.... So any testing you can do to narrow it down to a certain plugin would be greatly appreciated.

I used to suffer from BugSplats when using SU5 on a pc years ago. Switched to Mac in 2008 and never had a problem since until this week whilst using 2013 Pro when it has crashed twice whilst doing simple floor plans. The only plugin I've loaded so far is SU Podium which I used to use on previous versions but used my licence key to download the latest version. teething problems with SU2013 Pro maybe?
