There is decimal inches and there are decimal meters, millimeters etc. you must select decimal then the type of unit. to the right side of the menu.

I`am sorry for explaining the problem poorly -
I attach a screenshot - I did select "decimal" as well as "unit -m-"
still Lo replies with "(= inch )
        any Idea?

Did you place the dimension before setting the units? LO won't automatically revise dimensions already placed but if you select the Dimension tool and change the units, the subsequent dimensions should show in the correct units. In the attached example I placed the top dimension first with units set in inches. The next one with it set to mm and finally the bottom one with units set to meters.

You can change the units of the dimensions by selecting them and changing the Units in the Dimension inspector or by sampling a correct dimension with the eyedropper and painting that sample on the other dimensions.

You probably know this but after you select dimension tool you then set type of dimensions to decimal/ mm, cm or m.Seems to work fine.

This must be a German version issue... I'm not seeing it with mine.

Hello again ,and thanks for your fast response.
I forgot to mention, I am working on the German Version of LO.
The Dimensions "mm" and "cm" work fine ๐Ÿ˜„ .
Only if I select "m", LO replies with " (inch) ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Good catch! I'll get that fixed. Must be a mismatch in our translation.
