Revizto & Sketchfab

Both these products look very useful in terms of exhibiting models to clients and builders. I would be interested to hear any opinions of either program. Or maybe you are aware of something better.

Well I have not used SketchFab so I will stick to pointing out what Revizto has that I don't see available on SketchFab. someone else will need to come in and point out the things it does that Revizto does not have.
- Revizto is $99.00 one time payment. SketchFab is monthly subscription. although they have a free small version unlike Revizto.
- Revizto has FPS walkthroughs with collision.
- Revizto uses a WebBrowser viewer and also has a standalone viewer. I believe SketchFab is only the webviewer.
- Revizto has lights and grass, I don't see that SketchFab has either.
- Revizto seems to be based more in architecture and land planning where SketchFab seems to be more part and production based.
- Revizto has chat features built inside the viewer so that professionals and clients can discuss changes live.
I own a copy of Revizto, I do not work for them... Just really dig the powerful and inexpensive software.

Krisidious & Pilou,
I have looked at both and was leaning towards Revizto. Your comments would seem to confirm this. Thanks.
On an entirely separate note, it continually amazes me how far we have come from the drafting table and T square (dating myself here).KrisM

Revizto is more for architecture and more adapted for Walkthrough!
SketchFab is more for direct simple presentation

Hi Kris,
Probably we offer much more than many others… and for the low price (at least at the moment ).
Please take a look at the screenshots. You may find there many interesting details. The quality of the final picture in viewer even without calculations of light maps is acceptable (see the comment on the pic).
It is important that to get really the fastest process of export to 3D real time render with simple walkthrough…
The are many other important tools that will help to work over the project and to accelerate the process of collaboration and final development.

Maddox your software looks great and I will be testing it out seriously soon, but this thread has brought something else to my attention and I wonder if Revizto addresses it. I had never heard of sketchfab and I'm sitting in a bar in Australia with an Android tablet. I looked at the sketchfab site and found it gives me a very simple web based model viewer that works very happily on Android even in the free version. I've been looking for a simple android viewer for a long time, various ones exist but all have their problems. This is the first one I have found that works even on a free wifi network that struggles to open the sketchucation website.
Does revizto have this capability. Simply put, can I use your excellent program as a way of viewing and manipulating models on an Android Tablet.

Box... Try this. go to this link and click on the big red button on the right that says "View 3D Demo" see if it works on android. in FF it requires downloading a web browser plugin.
-
Box, you can download a free Revizto Viewer for Android from the Google Play store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Vizerra.ReviztoViewer
Let us know how you like it.

The case is that SketchFab uses a html 5 based WebGL display which is fast, light weight and works pretty well (and fast) in most modern browsers without the hassle of installing a browser plugin but this technology is still in its infancy and not as much can be displayed this way as by some more sophisticated plugins.
Revizto (currently) is based on the Unity Viewer (as far as I know) which can display more sophisticated stuff (like lights as you can see) but it needs a plugin and can be slower to fully load the scene. However you can load it from your desktop (in your own Revizto Viewer once installed) so streaming does not have to be an issue.
Now please, consider that I am not a technically literate person so my "evaluation" above may not be as accurate as of those who really know what they are talking about.

Using Android or iOS you need to download our free vewer from App Store or Google play.
This vewer is working with local projects on your tablet, downloaded diectly from Revizto gallery onto your tablet. You may view and navigate your scene. At any time you may connect your tablet to internet(Revizto) and using your 3D scene set new markers with comments, sync with cloud - other members of your team or your customer will see these markers as well, even they would connect later or connected in real time. -
Using tablets you will see the scene with almost the same quality like I posted above, however theare still present some limits due to limited power of tablets. Currently the main limit for Android and iOS is the size and complexity of project (as well as how accurate it was done in SU in terms of 3D modeling culture).

There are not web viewers for Android or iOS devices. Revizto web viewer is working only for PC or Mac.
