      Just finished this new model, so I tried a couple of shots. πŸ˜„
      This lamp was designed in 1972 by Achille Castiglioni and is called "Lampadina" (the Italian word for "bulb") and indeed almost the entire the lamp is...the bulb. πŸ˜‰
      Rendered with Thea. CRF and glare in Thea's darkroom. Just a slight color/saturation&contrast correction in post pro.

            Aahhh well... It was actually my mistake... 😳
            I know very well that when making a bulb, it will be in quads...
            I was struggling the other day making a tank and getting the vertical part with quads... 😐
            But I know that a sphere will be made as quads... πŸ˜‰

                        @Gilles: well yours seems quite a technical lamp with a chrome part. This one is just a big common bulb (12,5 cm of diameter and only 40W of power) with a sandblasted part used to avoiding dazzle. πŸ˜‰

                            It's a free HDRI by Bob Groothuis called van Kleef 3. Great quality HDRIs there.
