Hovercraft skirt help ?

Good morning all
I'm currently being challenged by a hovercraft skirt, the air cushioned bit. I can create the basic add detailed grooves. The best way to explain this I guess is to show it.
So I'm trying to create the ridged/groove effect. Any suggestions would be very helpful and Ill send a virtual pint

You can use Shape Bender plugin after you created the skirt as a straight one.
