How to impress potential employer?
-
Hi everyone!
I am new here, so I am not quite sure if that's okay for putting up a topic like this.. if so, let me know and I won't be doing that again.
I notice that so many of you are working in Interior dEsign , Architecture and modeling field.Since I am still a student (Bsc(Hons)Interior Design) .. well almost finished! one more year to go! I am really hoping to do some real work in my field. I was hoping to get to the practice for the internship this summer!
BUT as far as I know it's quite hard to get to the practice, even for the unpaid internship.
I know I would need to really impress potential employer and be remembered..
Do you know what employers are looking for when getting UNEXPIREINCED
student, for the intership? What would be best to put in my portfolio , I know that a wee bit of everything. But what would they look for especially?
to put all my questions in one sentence I would say : WHAT CAN I DO TO GET TO THE PRACTICE?!
Would appreciate any tips! -
Look up Ramit Sethi's blog - he has awesome advice for young people looking for a job.
