"Perfect" Isometric, Diametric, Trimetric?
-
Hi All,
For my school design Class we need to present our designs in TRUE Isometric, Diametric, Trimetric, and Obligue angles. I can "eyeball" and rotate my drawing to look pretty close...But is there a Ruby (Or method) to set up a Scene tab that will be an "Exact" correct rotation view?
Thanks for advice

Thanks!
It directed me to the isoaxo ruby. It does the ISO nicely. I assume the Diametric and Trimetric types would be difficult to do since besides 10/40 and 25/45 angles, these have specific "distorted" depth width and heights as viewed. Thanks again and thanks TIG! for writing the ruby.

Let me preface this by saying I have no idea what Diametric or Trimetric views are.
But you mention angles and that seemed possible with "Align View". So by making a block with the relevant angles you can right click on the appropriate face and select Align View.
You can move the align block wherever you want to specify point it aligns from.
I know it's a workaround, but combined with the various views available in the camera options it seems reasonable.I'm sorry if I'm so far off the page that I'm singing from a different song book.

Sounds interesting? I'll have to play around with it a bit. Maybe make a few "Angle" blocks for these requirements, then can insert it into each drawing.
FYI:
Diametric - 10 degrees (left edge-(width) @ 100% length), 40 degrees (right edge-(Depth) @ 1/2 true length, Height @ 100% normal heigth.
Trimetric - 25 degrees (left edge-(width) @ 100% length), 45 degrees (right edge-(Depth) @ 90% true depth, Height @ 80% true heigth.Probably really tricky to apply to a rubyscript? Hopefully I can try this summer to learn about making script.
Anyway, thank you very much for the "work around", can't wait to get home tonight to try it!
Thanks,

Axo, iso view by TIG ?

Yes, that's te one I mentioned below that I found. It works great for the views TIG created. The styles I mentened are mor obscure and not used very much. Thanks for the input.
