Transform plane surface to curved surface

Hi everyone,
My name is Allan and I build handcrafted skis in switzerland. I would like to make some 3D prototypes skis before I start to build new shapes, but I don't know how to transform plane shapes to curved surface. What I would like to do is:
- draw the shape of the ski
- draw the camber
- add the camber to the ski
Is there any issue to do that? I know it is possible on solidworks but I don't have the budget and I don't want to return to windows.....
