Importing top, front and side elevation model plans
-
Hi,
I've been reading, searching and viewing tutorials for what seems like hours now...
I want to create a model...
i've managed to import a top (like floor plan) elevation, but can't get the side-on or front plans to import.
Am I doing something wrong...something not connecting...is there a tutorial somewhere on achieving this that someone knows about.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Thanks from downunder. -
Hi Will,
First of all, it would be helpful to tell what format you are trying to import.
Then (following that) a lot more questions may arise so be prepared.

Hi Gaieus
Just importing .jpg or .png files...trying to keep it simple -
So what happens when you import additional images?

If i get the top plan in place (easy)
it wants to place the other elevations either on the x-y plane or somewhere else or simply won't accept it. -
Once you have imported the images they can be moved around, rotated or resized using the appropriate tools.
Bring them in then position them to suit.
Images can actually be drag and dropped straight into SU.

Mmmm. For what seemed like such a simple operation, I would have thought it would have been easier to achieve.
I did get there....eventually.
This video helped a bit
Thanks for your help
