Do component libraries for floor tiles or wood floors exist?
-
I am a part time graphic designer and brand new to SU. Currently, I am using the free version. I would like to create some interior models (kitchen/bath etc.), and I am wondering if any tile/wood floor manufacturers/retailers provide component libraries available for import into SU. I realize the I can create tiles and flooring from scratch or from existing images, and I have downloaded some from 3D Warehouse. I would like to present flooring options to potential clients where they can touch and feel the sample tile and let them see a 3d model of what that specific tile will look like in their space. Is there a better solution?
Thanks,
Mike -
The most efficient mode will be to use a texture to cover the area. actual 3D models of individual flooring components will be rather time consuming. For extra detail you can apply patterns to the surface of a floor. texturing will also allow quick calculations of square footage. 3D warehouse is about the only place to get 3D models from actual distributors besides their own individual websites.
