I avoided the software for the longest time, thinking I couldn't learn it.
Now, it's my fave after successfully creating several pieces.

One question today: How are beveled edges done?

Nevermind my question about beveling.
I've found answers in the forum.
The steps seem more complicated than I'm able to master quickly -
have a project due in the morning. I guess I will try another method.

It is quite simple, just use the bevel option

If the shape isn't too complicated you could use follow me tool !
But the plugin Nick pointed is just wonderful and very easy to use. Give it a try and if you get stuck just let us know and we'll sort it out !
